Martinez Lake is located in the southwestern corner of Arizona in Tuma County. The lake's area about 300 to 500 acres, depending on where it's boundary with the Colorado River is determined to be at the moment, it’s hard to tell where the river ends and the lake begins. Martinez Lake is located on the Colorado River 31 miles from Yuma, AZ. The reservoir stretches upstream 70 miles to Blythe and downstream 7 miles to the Imperial Dam. Largemouth bass weighing in the teens have been recorded. Striped bass over 30 pounds and flathead catfish in excess of 75 pounds have been recorded too.
