Mon. November 23, 2009:     What an atmosphere we got going on here on the boat. It's cigars and cocktails all around as the reflections of battles won and battles lost is the hot topic of the day. We had some very special moments this week during the bite, with crew members going all out to save every fish possible. One fish in particular got wrapped up on one of the stabilizer fins and a crewman jumped in and unwrapped the line only to have the fish wrap up on the sonar dome immediately afterwards. A second crewman jumped in and grabbed the line so that we could cut it and re-splice it on the other side of the boat. Our angler and all the passengers let out an enormous yell when the monster 280 lb Yellowfin hit the deck. Each and every crewman on this vessel works and fishes straight from the heart, it is very rewarding to work with them. Our sponsors also deserve a huge thanks and some very worthy credit for their fine products that handle these Giant Tuna with perfect performance. Avet Reels, Seeker Rods, Seaguar Fluorocarbon, Owner and Mustad Hooks, all helped in making this Epic catch. We hope you enjoy more photos of these Giants and will send more tomorrow. Thinking of joining the team in (JAN 2011) trip. I am a long time fisherman  over 35 years offshore , but this would be my 1st longe range trip. I have all (1st) class gear, but would take any advice you can offer. Thanks Again

No doubt a fabulous trip.  Those folks on the Intrepid really go way beyond what is the norm and always go 4 steps further than any passenger could expect.   The group was awesome and just a blast to hang with.  The giveaways were almost every night.  We had many folks who had never caught a fish over 50 or 60 pounds and by the 2cd or 3rd day most everyone was fishing like
pro's.  If anyone has fishing in their blood but is worried about jumping up to a much longer range trip, stop worrying and sign up right away for next years trip or better yet for next years trip and one for this year.  You will learn everything you will need to know about connections, tackle, technique, etc. as all you have to do is ask a Crew member, when they are not busy, or a knowledgeable passenger who is offering to help.  Remember, it is always good to have a supply of good cigars, not only for yourself but to give away to someone, crew member or passenger, who gives you help.

Anyway,  Great Job John and as you know I have been signed up for next years trip for about 4 months now with monies in.  Hope to see you sooner than that and best of luck on your September (Expected) trip of a life time.

I've heard nothing but great things about  the (12 day)  trip and the Intrepid's service. I would like  to speak with some of the (guys) from the trip. Looking foward to being on  next  (anuary 2011 trip) "Ill get those cigars ready.

 You said it all about the crew and great group of passengers. The Intrepid gets better every trip and they continue to amaze me with everything they do to make sure that everybody has the trip of a lifetime. It was a pleasure to fish with you and thank you again for all your help, maybe next year I will get to try the new position on my harness. As soon as I get some pictures from Art I will be posting a report and Mike is working on the video. ( He says its incredible!) Congrats on the cow with a spinning reel! That was cool!

 Everything you have heard about the Intrepid and its crew is true. Great crew, awesome boat and always puts us on the fish. We would like you to join us for 2011 and if you have any questions I will be happy to help. It is definitely something you should try since it sounds like you are  a dedicated fishermen.

Thanks for the great  nightly giveaways on the trip.  What a phenominal experience.  There is not enough that can be said about the Intrepid and its crew.  If anyone is looking for an orginization that is a cut above the rest, Intrepid is it.  Dad and I are planning on being on there next year with you and many of the great returning passengers from this trip.

 Welcome aboard! Tina and Jack just signed back up for 2011! This last trip would not have been possible without Tina. Thank you for everything Tina! I cant wait till next year. I finally got my pictures from Art and I will be posting a report with pictures tomorrow. Stormtrooper I will answer any questions you have to the best of my knowledge, fishordie (Jamie) has been doing this much longer than me and knows more about long range fishing than just about anybody out there.
