Bartlett Lake is a reservoir that was formed by the damming of the Verde River in Arizona, located just
48 miles from downtown Phoenix. The facilities at the lake are managed by the Forest Service. They
Include boats to rent, licenses for sale, tackle and equipment, water skiing and other activities, as well
as camping grounds.
There are lots of fish varieties in the highly populated lake. It is filled with large and small mouth bass, crappie, sunfish, channel catfish, flathead catfish, and carp. Bartlett Lake is more than two thousand acres across. It is a comfortable space to fish plenty and with 100 foot deep water to swim in. Bartlett Lake is a real fishermen's paradise, with hotels and grocery stores near by.

We began our day at safe light 33º under light cloud cover. By 9:00 the sun warmed us enough to remove our outer jackets, but soon after that the chilly southern wind had us wrapping up again.
