Fishing Reports

  How to describe the trip of a lifetime would take me several posts. Let me start by saying that Lake Huites totally exceeding all of my expectations and then some. Our trip started in Phoenix early Thursday and we drove to  El Fuerte and stayed at The Hotel Posada Del Hidalgo. From there we headed to the lake early Friday morning and boarded our boat to go fishing while the other boat took most our gear to the lodge on the lake. We fished all morning and caught between two of us 30 fish up to 4lb's before lunch! After an amazing lunch and a couple of margarita's we headed back out in search of more and bigger fish. The afternoon bite was much better as I landed a 7lb'er, 5lb'er and many in the 2-4lb class. What a great day! Headed in for a little jacuzzi and some much needed R&R and an awesome dinner. Started off Saturday with a 9lb'er on my topwater Sammy and stopped counting the fish as they were chewing like they had never seen a bait! Overall the spinnerbait, and the fluke were the winners but, you could catch fish on anything you wanted to throw. After two and half days of non-stop fishing I caught well over 120 fish with the 9lb'er being the biggest!

OMG!!!!   Those are amazing fish!   That does look like paradise.    Nice report.
Did you catch them on spinnerbait?
