There are also four barrier-free fishing piers, ten single-family picnic shelters and five large-group shelters that can each hold up to 150 people. With a wide variety of fish species, Fool Hollow Lake offers fishing fun for everyone, from first-time fishermen to seasoned veteran anglers. Fool Hollow Lake provides a great chance for beginners and kids to catch anything that bites. For them, night crawlers on the bottom or under a bobber are a good way to go. More experienced anglers can try spinner baits, jigs and night crawler rigs around underwater rocks, where large bass and walleye often hide. This is a great lake to catch trophy-sized walleye and expect to catch boatloads of catfish in summer and early fall. The lake is open all year and rarely ices over. Trout and walleye fishing are fair year-round.
